Heres the plan: pack a packable carry-on inside my hard shell carry-on. Travel. Put the souvenirs/new clothes/etc in my packable carryon. Then on the way back, check my hard shell carry-on and use my now-stuffed packable carry-on as my carry-on. ie, one bag going, two bags returning. Can anyone suggest a good quality packable carry-on for this? Thank you :)

    在我看来，质量最好的可折叠包是 Eddie bauer stowaways。比一些替代品（4 monster、matador、sea to summit）重，但你不必担心薄如纸的布料撕裂。

    the best quality packable bags imo are the Eddie bauer stowaways. heavier than some alternatives (4 monster, matador, sea to summit) but you won't have to worry about the paper thin fabric tearing.

    Random Amazon duffles have been my go-to until now. Recently ripped a zipper out as I left the hotel and the bag was in shreds by the time I got off the plane.

    I've had an old REI packable duffel for about 15 years. I'd bring it, stuff it full of my/the-wife's/the-kids' dirty clothes on the last days of a trip, pack precious things in carry-on, and check in dirty clothes for return trip. Surprisingly, the duffel is still in great condition.

    Eddie Bauer stowaway tote. It’s apparently 25L but I think it holds more. It has a cinch drawstring but the material on top is loose and can fill over the brim of the tote. The drawstring toggle is easy to secure and you can tie a knot to secure even more. Packs down into its own little zippered pocket which is also functional when the bag is in use. The material is durable.
