Going on a missions trip to Senegal at the end of October and am made very aware I need to bring my own bedding sheets (don’t need to worry about a blanket due to the heat but should prepare for colder nights) if I want to bring my pillow it would have to go with my luggage (so I’m told) and need to bring clothes for during the day, walking, running activities etc. As a woman pants or long skirts. Comfortable shoes, and the essentials (toiletries undergarments etc.) how would you recommend I pack for all that with just a backpack and a carry on? Need the best packing hacks/advice please. I had gone previously years ago but back then we could bring a full sized luggage suitcase.

睡袋内胆可能正好合适。 Prana有一些不错的裤子，够紧能防虫，不过我还会看看几条轻薄透气的亚麻或棉混纺裤子。运动内衣。几件你不介意弄脏/穿着运动的衬衫，再加几件你真正喜欢的衬衫。长袖没问题，只要确保材质透气。尽量确保能有很多搭配组合（比如每件上衣都能配大多数下装等）。穿着要保守。另外，如果你要做这种事，至少也要尽量确保自己真的能派上用场。

Sleeping bag liner might fit the bill. Prana has some nice pants that are tight enough to keep out bugs though I’d also look at a few pairs of thin breathable linen or cotton blends. Sports bras. A few shirts you don’t mind getting dirty/working out in and a few shirts you actually like. Long sleeve is fine just make sure it’s breathable material. Try to make sure there are many combos as possible (I.e., each top should match most bottoms etc). Dress conservatively. Also if you’re doing something like that, at least try to make sure you’re actually making yourself useful as well.

用Permethrin处理你的外层衣物，能防虫。把所有衬衫和裤子尽可能卷紧，能省空间。带大约6天的衣服，中途洗一次，或者带快干衣物，每晚在水槽里洗。可以买洗衣纸，剪小片用于小量洗衣。尽量减少洗漱用品，带小瓶洗发水和肥皂。只有10天，你不需要太多。别带大书或娱乐物品。时间会过得很快。我们在非洲三周只带了一个随身行李和一个背包，东西绰绰有余。其实和那些带大包的人相比，这样真的很好，出行方便多了。睡袋内胆是个很好的选择，如果担心冷可以带两个。丝绸也比棉更保暖。

Permethrin your outer layers, will keep bugs away. Roll all of your shirts and pants as tightly as you can, will save space. Take about 6 days worth of clothing and do a load of laundry in the middle or take clothes that dry fast and wash them in the sink each night. You can get laundry detergent sheets, cut them small for smaller loads of laundry. Minimize toiletries, small bottles of shampoo and soap. It is only 10 days. You dont need much. Dont take any big books or entertainment things. The time will fly by. We traveled three weeks in Africa with a carry-on and a backpack and had more than enough. It was actually really nice compared to people with huge bags, made it much easier to get around. A sleeping bag liner is a great option, can get 2 if worried about being cold. silk is warmer than cotton as well.

所有这些都要再核对标签。它是喷雾瓶装的，你把衣服平铺，喷到微湿，然后晾干。两面都要喷。就这样。没有味道，能持续洗多次。防虫，而且真的有效。我们给睡袋内胆喷了它，在非洲防住了臭虫。湿的时候对猫有毒，所以如果养猫，要等干了再让猫靠近。

Double check all this on the label. It comes in a spray bottle, you lay your clothes out flat. Spray the clothes till they are damp and let dry. Both sides. That's it. No smell, last for multiple washes. Keeps bugs away and it really works. We sprayed our sleeping bag liners with it and it kept bedbugs away in Kenya. When wet it is toxic to cats so just keep them away until it dries if you have any.

It works really well for mosquitos, flies, ticks, all bugs as far as I know.
