长期露营选高床还是矮床

Hey y'all, I wanted you opinion on a cot for long-term camping: Tall or short?

你们觉得那种离地只有几英寸的会不会更好？我倾向于这种，但我在想有没有什么明显的缺点是我忽略了的。我觉得它应该比高的那种更不容易吱呀作响，而且收纳空间也是个考虑因素，所以我很喜欢它能收得很小。我会把它和一张 Exped 加长加宽 Megamat 一起用，放在一个 10 by 10 的帆布帐篷里，大约用半年。那张矮床比我的 Megamat 宽一英寸、短大约两英寸，这挺糟的，但我觉得应该没太大影响。高的那张比 Megamat 宽 5 英寸、长 2.5 英寸。谢谢帮忙！

Do you think the one that's only a few inches off the ground is better? I'm leaning that way but I'm wondering if there are any obvious downsides that I'm overlooking. I feel like it'll be less creaky than the tall one, and cargo space is a factor, so I like that it packs down really small. I'd be using it with an Exped extra-long and wide Megamat in a 10 by 10 canvas tent for about half the year. The short cot is one inch wider and about two inches shorter than my Megamat, which sucks, but I feel like it won't matter too much. The tall one is 5 inches wider and 2.5 inches longer than the Megamat. Thanks for the help!

我 50 岁了。我 100% 更喜欢高一点的床睡觉。起身容易多了，而且它还能当长凳用，穿衣服、穿鞋、收拾东西等等都方便。我也更喜欢床下的储物空间（取决于型号），因为它有助于让帐篷/营地更整洁。

I'm 50. I 100% prefer a higher cot for sleeping. It's so much easier to get up and it can be used as a bench as well for getting dressed, putting on shoes, packing up, etc. I also prefer to have the under cot storage (depending on model) as it helps keep a cleaner tent/camp.

Agreed, it magnifies the amount of space in the tent. And as a similarly older guy, having a place to sit normally helps a ton. I hate climbing up off the ground when backpacking.

That's true! I don't mind a low bed, and I don't know if I'll be able to store anything under this one since it has like 10 million legs, but using it as a more convenient seat is nice.

如果你想把它当长凳用，那你要担心的就不只是高度了。也许这些轻量床里有些在长边杆上承受不住一个人的重量。确保你买到的是结实的支撑杆，而不是那种挤压铝方管的破玩意儿。

If you want to use it as a bench, it’s not just the height you have to worry about. Maybe of these lightweight cots do not have the strength to support a human on the long side bars. Ensure you get strong support bars and not the extruded aluminum square tube bullshit.

我 60 多岁了，越高越好。我开车露营，用的是 Coleman Trailhead II。有点笨重，但在我的 Gazelle 里很好用。

In my 60s and higher is better. I car camp and use a Coleman Trailhead II. A little cumbersome but works great in my Gazelle.

只有在我帐篷矮的情况下我才会选矮的。如果你的帐篷高，而且墙壁大多是垂直的，那就选高的。如果是个矮帐篷，不是让人站直的那种，那在我看来你肯定想要矮的。

I would only choose the short one if I had a short tent. If your tent is tall and has mostly vertical walls, then get the tall one. If it’s a short tent that’s not meant for standing up in, you’ll definitely want the short one imo

Tall. It's easier to get in and out of. It's half the benefit of having a cot.

有道理。我喜欢睡地板，但长期帐篷露营时我不想让床垫直接放在地上，原因很明显，不过我觉得你们关于高床说得对。而且它也会更好看。哈哈。我也不喜欢毯子碰到地面的想法。

That's fair. I like floor sleeping but I don't want my mattress directly on the ground for long-term tent camping for obvious reasons, but I think y'all are right about having the tall bed. Plus it will be more aestehtically pleasing. Lol. I also don't like the idea of having my blankets touching the ground
